Job Description
Pine Technical and Community College seeks a Business, General Instructor dedicated to excellence in teaching who desires to become part of a creative, vibrant, student-centered learning community. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to interdisciplinary and cross-cultural perspectives. Faculty members at PTCC are professionally active scholars who participate in departmental and campus-wide activities to enhance their disciplines, promote interdisciplinary discourse an collaboration, and advance the college mission. Required Qualifications
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
    • Master’s degree in business administration or business management; or
    • Master’s degree with a minimum of 27 graduate quarter or 18 semester credits in business administration and/or business management.

 


Teaching and Learning Competency Requirements are to be completed within the first 3 years of employment per Board Policy 3.32 and System Procedure 3.32.1 College Faculty Qualifications, Part 8.https://www.minnstate.edu/board/procedure/332p1.html

 

Preferred Qualifications
  • Teaching experience at the postsecondary level, preferably at a two-year college
  • Prior on-line experience using D2L Brightspace platform or equivalent information management system
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality instruction and continuous improvement
  • Ability to work with a diverse student body with a broad range of interests and abilities
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students and peers
  • Experience in curriculum development at the professional level
  • Effective planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Other Requirements
In accordance with the Minnesota State Colleges & Universities (Minnesota State) Vehicle Fleet Safety Program, employees driving on college/university business who use a rental or state vehicle shall be required to conform to Minnesota State’s vehicle use criteria and consent to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
