Job Summary

The Channel Account Associate will provide customer service and sales support to Business Development and Sales teams for non-standard terms of sale transactions. The Associate will coordinate with internal departments to determine availability, pricing, and lead times for bulk materials and catalog products. Utilizing a thorough knowledge of our product lines, processes, CRM and ERP databases, the position will be responsible for managing the flow of communication from the proposal phase through the execution. In addition, the position will determine and uphold the best practices of the organization, in a high-volume environment, to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Reporting to the Channel Account Manager, the Associate will be responsible for handling the following types of inquiries concerning specified customer contracts and projects: customer qualification, sampling for validation, determining project feasibility, bulk/custom proposals, quotation generation, and inventory management
  • Properly vet all project proposals for legal restrictions, customer requirements, feasibility, cost, and margin
  • Coordinate internal groups and monitor timelines to ensure accurate and timely project completion
  • Act as a liaison between business development, sales team, customer service, and other internal business units to ensure all appropriate communications are done in a timely and courteous manner between customers and BioLegend
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for handling customer inquiries and communicating pertinent information
  • Develop, maintain, and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all processes related to custom business and nurture best practices within the organization
  • Understanding of CRM and NAV databases to ensure documentation is accurate and complete
  • Other projects or responsibilities as may be required.

Minimum Qualifications - Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Biology or other Life Science

Preferred Qualifications - Education and Experience

  • Experience working in the biotech or pharma industry
  • Experience working in a laboratory setting
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (Microsoft Dynamics NAV) preferred
  • Experience with Customer Relations Management Systems (SalesForce) preferred
  • Experience with intermediate to advanced techniques in Excel (ie. Pivot Tables, Macros)
  • Computer proficiency with the ability to use Microsoft Office products is required
  • Professionally and clearly communicate with internal and external customers (email, phone, and in-person)

The base salary range for this full-time position is$48,000 - 53,000.This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that base pay is only one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This range allows for the successful candidate to have an opportunity to progress within the position and develop at our company. This base pay range does not take into account bonuses, equity, or other benefits which may be applicable and are dependent on the level and position offered.
