The Bridge Family Center is hiring a full time Program Director to lead its Quality Parenting Center soon to be opening in Cromwell, CT. The QPC provides structured support and coaching during family visitation sessions for parents who are working on family reunification after a child has been removed from the home. The Program Director is responsible for the overall coordination and operation of the QPC and will manage the daily operations of the program and interface with all appropriate community agencies and families, and is responsible for the overall quality assurance of the program. The QPC is open and staffed 365 days/year to allow families the opportunity to spend holidays together. This position does require some flexibility of schedule with some evening availability.

As this is a newly opening program, the Program Director will work closely with the Program Director of the Bridge's QPC located in Hartford, CT in order to hire and train staff as well as furnish the program using the Hartford QPC as a template for success.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Administrative Duties

  • Monitor financial expenditures and reports.
  • Participate in any quality assurance reviews or periodic audits to ensure compliance the Visit Coaching Model.
  • Develop, maintain and supervise an effective, cohesive staff team. Inclusive of coordinating, recruiting, hiring, scheduling, supervising, evaluating and training staff.
  • Maintain certification as a trainer in the Visit Coaching Model and train new staff upon hire; provide ongoing training for existing staff as needed.
  • Facilitate weekly staff meetings.
  • Be able to regularly utilize and provide reporting from Electronic Visit Scheduling system, as needed.
  • Review timecards and submit payroll every other week.
  • Oversee maintenance of the program’s physical plant, purchases, repair, and upkeep.
  • Assists the Executive Director and/or the Director of Development & Communications in budget and grant preparation.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned

Program Management

  • Review completion of all documentation by the Family Life Coaches for submission to DCF and families (as appropriate).
  • Work directly with DCF on referrals of clients to the QPC. Assign families to the appropriate Family Life Coach.
  • Develop and supervise QPC program. Inclusive of coordinating and maintaining compliance of all staff training.
  • Serve as a Family Life Coach for families requiring a higher level of coaching, as needed. Comply with all responsibilities of the Family Life Coach for those cases.
  • Provide backup transportation services for the visit participants if needed.
  • Provide on-call support.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field required. Master’s degree in social work or related human services field preferred. Three or more years’ Program and staff management experience. Prior experience or familiarity with the Marty Beyer Family Coaching Model a plus. Ability to successfully learn and utilize new computer systems required. Must have ability to set professional boundaries and limits as well as develop positive rapport with children and adult clients. Must be able to address and take control of difficult situations in the moment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Bilingual Spanish/English speaking a plus. Must be able to complete all required documentation in a clear, concise manner consistent with the Visit Coaching model. Must also have a valid Connecticut driver’s license, and possess the following certifications, or be eligible to obtain these after hire: Adult/Child CPR & First Aid, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention, Visit Coaching Model Training, and additional DCF trainings as determined by the program.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $58,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
