Job Description
RESEARCH FELLOW, Economics (multiple openings), to join Blueprint Labs, a growing team of professionals devoted to using data, economics, and analytic tools to generate insights to uncover the consequences of policy choices and improve society. Will support research on Blueprint Labs’ workforce, healthcare, and education initiatives and work closely with one or more of its directors or co-directors, including Josh Angrist, Parag Pathak, Nikhil Agarwal, and David Autor, plus collaborators at other universities. Specific responsibilities include constructing and preparing data for analysis; conducting analysis in Stata, Python, and/or R (or similar); presenting results and engaging in discussion in project meetings; and editing papers and other materials for publication and diverse audiences.

REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree in economics, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field; at least two years of specialized experience in quantitative data analysis, research methods, and/or social sciences research (which may include coursework or experience gained as an undergraduate); and experience with programming, particularly around data analysis, cleaning, and simulations. These are full-time, one-year appointments that are renewable annually (contingent on funding) and not eligible for visa sponsorship.
