About the Role:
Responsible for developing and maintaining platforms, patterns, pipelines, assets & BI solutions for cross-functional data operations & analytics. This position will lead the analytics engineering discipline within IT. They will deliver data curation & BI solutions that demonstrate practical iteration, flexibility to change, and resilience to common processing challenges. This position also seeks to empower others to adopt successful patterns & practices, increasing data ownership & contribution across business & IT functions.Our ideal candidate is a self-starter with a passion for helping people access & use data effectively. They have deep experience with data modeling challenges & design trade-offs and create practical solutions from complex problems. They have pharmaceutical experience and bring an understanding of relevant data sources, modeling needs & use cases - especially those pertaining to Commercial Sales & supporting functions.

Your Contributions (include, but not limited to):Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to align on project goals and methodologies
Apply domain-driven design to break down complex business problems
Oversee the lifecycle of analytics projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives
Collaborate with stakeholders to define & manage business rules
Profile and communicate data quality issues to appropriate stakeholders
Negotiate and address data quality concerns with upstream providers
Oversee the lifecycle of analytics projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives
Deliver curated data models to support individual & cross-functional use cases
Create and maintain metadata that supports privacy, cost allocation, AI & business needs
Develop resilient transformation pipelines to structure data & trigger action when needed
Design & troubleshoot processes with complex requirements (e.g. low latency, precision)
Develop and collaborate on BI solutions
Develop semantic models, calculations & metrics
Administer platforms and features relevant to the analytics engineering function
Adhere to security, privacy and regulatory policies and guidelines
Author solution design documentation
Mentor team members and business contributors in analytics engineering practices
Monitor data utilization and bring awareness to the relative cost & value of data assets
Partner with data governance stakeholders
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field. and 6+years in an analytical capacity in conjunction with the development/maintenance of a reporting library, experience using Tableau Software (inclusive of both Tableau and Tableau CRM) or other business intelligence solutions OR
Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field and 4+ years as noted above
Has knowledge of best practices in the functional discipline and familiarity with the broader underlying concepts of related business disciplines
Works to improve tools and processes within functional area
Developing reputation inside the company as it relates to area of expertise
Ability to work as part of and lead multiple teams
Exhibits leadership skill and ability, typically leads lower levels and/or indirect teams
Excellent communications, problem-solving, analytical thinking skills
Sees broader picture, impact on multiple departments/divisions
Ability to meet multiple deadlines across a variety of projects/programs, with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency
Excellent project management skills
Expert level knowledge of Data Modeling and Business Intelligence Solution development, including translating business requirements into technical requirements and data models
Demonstrated expertise with data flow orchestration
Strong knowledge of Git/GitHub, Jira, and Agile workflows a plus
Expert knowledge in one or more of each of the following technology stacks/competencies: Cloud: AWS, Azure; Data Platforms: Databricks, Snowflake; Data Transformation: SQL, Python; Transformation Frameworks: Databricks DLT, dbt
Well-versed in data profiling, data manipulation and/or data analysis. Proven success writing complex queries on large data sets from disparate data sources
Strong data warehousing principles and SQL knowledge is preferred
Proven success effectively positioning and conveying the merits of enterprise platforms to customers and prospects
Experience testing, troubleshooting & establishing API connectivity utilizing software documentation and tools such as Postman
Experience developing in code-based languages such as Python, R & SQL
Skilled with data queries, functions and/or procedures using languages such as SQL
Experience developing business intelligence solutions using tools such as Power BI, Tableau

The annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay is $127,500.00-$184,800.00. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 30% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
