Marketing Pursuit Strategist
Job Description
As the Marketing Pursuit Strategist, you are primarily responsible for leading strategies tied to the end point of the buying journey - moving Cuningham from Consideration to Selection. To elevate Consideration and Selection probabilities the position requires someone with expertise in developing, managing, and executing efficient and effective processes that result in the creation of highly customized, beautifully crafted pursuit materials (qualification, proposal and presentation materials). You will work closely with other marketing team members, project executives and principals to develop pursuit materials that competitively position Cuningham to win new work.
To accomplish these goals the Marketing Pursuit Strategist will coordinate and collaborate with other members of the marketing team to ensure their marketing responsibilities are effectively developed and successfully executed. You will report quarterly on pursuit data and make recommendations on how to improve the development of pursuit materials to address lagging performance.

What you will do - Lead the development of highly customized, beautifully crafted and competitively compelling RFP, RFQ, and SOQ responses.
- Digest and analyze RFQ/P materials and make recommendations to pursuit team on approaches, strategies to address requirements and differentiate Cuningham.
- Work with Business Development team to develop competitive and creative Proposal Strategies that successfully position Cuningham for each competition.
- Develop proposal production outlines that clearly communicate milestones, deadlines and review periods.
- Use pull-planning methodologies to ensure timely delivery of required content.
- Coordinate proposal tasks and deadlines with internal teams and external consultant teams.
- Collaborate with graphic designers on proposal layouts and specialty graphics. Make recommendations to the team on use of graphic design elements that can help to clearly articulate complex or what would otherwise be lengthy text heavy information.
- Draft and edit content including cover letters, executive summaries, resumes, team bios and boilerplate text.
- Lead the preparation of support materials and collateral for project interviews.
- Support business developers with the creation of marketing collateral for client meetings.
- Gather, verify, and maintain accurate employee and project data, as well as frequently used proposal information.
- Strong project management skills, capable of handling various tasks concurrently while maintaining a high level of quality.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail, strategy and storytelling.
- In-depth knowledge of architectural and design principles to effectively communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences.
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, working seamlessly with cross-functional teams.
- Strong conceptual thinking and ability to translate complex requirements into compelling pursuit strategies.
- 5+ years' experience leading the development of proposals and presentation materials.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or related field, or commensurate experience
- Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) experience strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite required.
- Proficiency with Bluebeam, Deltek Vantagepoint (CRM), preferred.
- Hybrid work mode required, with flexible requirements regarding time spent in office.
