Overview:

As a Human Resource Generalist at MaxFund, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our mission-driven initiatives by overseeing various HR functions. You will be responsible for managing human resource activities, fostering a positive organizational culture, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements. This role requires a proactive and adaptable individual who is passionate about contributing to the success of a non-profit organization. Reports to Executive Director.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment and Selection:

  • Manage the full cycle of recruitment and selection processes, including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, and candidate selection.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
  • Ensure a diverse and inclusive recruitment process to attract qualified candidates from diverse backgrounds.


Employee Relations:

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing guidance and support on HR-related matters.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution and mediation as needed to maintain a positive work environment.
  • Conduct investigations into employee complaints or grievances and recommend appropriate actions.


Performance Management:

  • Administer performance evaluation processes, providing guidance to managers and employees on goal-setting and performance feedback.
  • Develop and implement performance improvement plans, when necessary, in collaboration with Executive Management, Managers, supervisors and department heads.
  • Track and analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and support organizational goals.
  • Training and Development:
  • Coordinate training and development initiatives to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Identify training needs and opportunities for professional growth, both for individual employees and the organization as a whole.
  • Collaborate with external trainers or organizations to provide specialized training programs as needed.


Compliance and Policy Development:

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Develop and update HR policies and procedures in accordance with best practices and legal requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files and HR databases.
  • Benefits Administration:
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
  • Assist employees with benefits enrollment, changes, and inquiries, serving as a liaison between employees and benefit providers.
  • Stay informed about trends and developments in employee benefits and recommend adjustments to benefits packages as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in human resources roles, preferably in a non-profit or mission-driven organization.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations, with the ability to ensure compliance.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in ADP software and Microsoft Office Suite, and additional Human resource integrated software.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred.
