Responsibilities: Coordinate and/or perform the following duties:
- Capacity to qualify for the approval to login to Federal Student Aid systems;
- Responsible for regular uploading and downloading of electronic files via Ellucian Colleague system and Federal Student Aid systems;
- Maintain confidentiality and privacy with all financial aid and scholarship matters;
- Responsible for accurate record-keeping of all assigned tasks;
- Ability to present clear and accurate information about Eastern to students, parents and guardians;
- Reviewing, collecting, and analyzing financial data on students;
- Maintain knowledge of requirements regarding federal, state and institutional financial aid information;
- Help students determine the financial aid programs in which they show eligibility;
- Monitor verification letter workflow, and access when subsequent contacts are necessary, monitor progress of tracking process and report to supervisors’ on a regular basis;
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of multiple financial aid reports, analyze system-generated reports to verify continued compliance and eligibility of students receiving aid under federal and institutional guidelines, notified students of changes in eligibility of awards and alternatives to amend the situation;
- Correspondence to students regarding scholarship offers;
- Data entry for scholarship offers to accounts;
- Assist with mail outs, file maintenance, and other financial aid projects;
- Process and maintain paperwork for eligible student employment –Federal (FWS) and institutional (RCE) applicants, coordinate with HR Office for monthly student payroll review;
- Attend conferences and workshops regarding financial aid policies and administration, engage in professional development opportunities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Salary: Compensated with education and experience. Expected range is $30,000 to $33,000 with benefits.
