Job Description

DIRECTOR OF NURSING AND CLINICAL OPERATIONS, MIT Health, is responsible for both the strategic direction and day-to-day activities for both the profession of nursing at MIT Health and overall clinical operations; leading clinical operational initiatives across the organization to ensure that MIT Health delivers excellence in patient access, safety and quality, operational efficiency, and patient and staff experience; providing strategic and operational leadership for the Professional Practice of Nursing; maintaining clinical and patient-care standards for all nurses within the organization, as well as patient-facing clinical support staff (e.g., medical assistants etc.); overseeing the hiring and supervision for various clinical areas of MIT Health, as well as oversight of MIT Health’s Clinical Pharmacists; and may also maintain part-time clinical care activities to account for no more than 10% effort.

Job Requirements:

REQUIRED: Master’s degree in business, healthcare operations, or healthcare related field; Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner (Primary Care field preferred); licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts; BLS certification; and five years of successful leadership in an ambulatory practice with progressive scope of responsibility, including demonstrated success in managing financial and personnel resources, improving patient and staff experience, and working effectively with medical staff.
