Overview: Digital Bibles for the World is seeking a motivated Fund-Raising Director to lead our fundraising and development efforts for our non-profit organization. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in nonprofit fundraising, donor relations, and a deep commitment to our mission of God’s Word to war-torn, military and unreached peoples of the world.
In this role you will work closely with the President, accounting and operations staff.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Fundraising:
● Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies to secure financial support from individuals, corporations, foundations, and grants.
● Identify and cultivate potential donors and funding opportunities to expand the organization's donor base.
● Collaborate with the President to set fundraising goals and align them with the organization's strategic plan.
● Research, identify, and assist with grants from foundations, private agencies, and other funding sources.
Donor Cultivation and Stewardship:
● Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective donors, ensuring efficient and effective communication and stewardship.
● Create and effectively execute personalized engagement plans for major donors, sponsors, and supporters to enhance their consistent and continuous involvement and commitment to the organization's mission.
Fundraising Events:
● Plan, coordinate, and oversee fundraising events, including benefit dinners and other community engagement activities.
● Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless execution and maximize revenue generation.
Partnership and Collaboration:
● Cultivate strategic partnerships with local businesses, community organizations, and other non-profits to enhance fundraising opportunities and collaborative efforts.
Strategic Marketing:
● Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with the organization's mission, goals, and target audience.
● Collaborate with the team to assure website and social media platforms are continuously engaging and relevant to raise awareness and engagement with the community.
● Develop compelling and sensitive content, including blog posts, articles, that resonate with donors.
Public Relations and Community Engagement:
● Cultivate relationships with media outlets, influencers, and community partners to secure coverage and elevate the organization's visibility.
● Create and manage events, workshops, and webinars providing educational and supportive content for grieving families and their communities.
Donor Data Management:
● Utilize donor management systems to maintain accurate records of donor interactions, contributions, and engagement history.
● Analyze fundraising data to track progress, identify trends, and adjust strategies as needed to meet fundraising goals.
Qualifications:
Faith
· Has an active and personal relationship with Jesus Christ
· Agrees with Digital Bibles for the World Core Belief and Standards in Ministry Statement
Education
● Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (nonprofit management, communications, business, etc.).
Skills
● Proven track record of successful fundraising in a nonprofit setting, including experience with major gifts, grant writing, and donor relations.
● Proven experience in marketing, branding, or communications, preferably in the Christian non-profit sector or a related field.
● Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with a diverse range of stakeholders.
● Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage several projects successfully at once.
● Experience in the following tools: donor management, digital marketing, and content creation
● Creative mindset with an eye for design and visual aesthetics.
● Proven ability to build and maintain new connections on a consistent and ongoing basis. Strong existing community connections would be helpful.
● Previous experience in event planning and execution.
● Collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively within a team environment as well as independently.
Job Type: Part-time
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
