We are searching for candidates that meet the required qualifications and experience and are able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities.
 
 
Job Summary:
Lead the Human Resources function overseeing faculty hiring procedures, faculty rank promotion processes, and contract status coordination. Ensure processes are efficient and effective and that decisions comply with employment laws, college policies, past practice, and core values.
 
 
Required Qualifications:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership to facilitate and manage all activities related to faculty employment. This includes recruiting, on-boarding, and faculty credentials. Maintain documentation of the employment process and provide related reporting materials for the monthly metric and the Employment Board Report.
  • Coordinate faculty contract status including, but not limited to, contract changes and execution of contracts.
  • Assess faculty appointments at hire and coordinate rank process throughout the employment cycle ensuring appropriate rank titles are reflected.
  • Oversee and coordinate faculty rank promotion process including appointment, effectively communicating rank criteria, and monitoring the peer review process. Ensure processes and procedures are successfully implemented that impact faculty rank compensation.
  • Maintain a thorough and up-to-date knowledge of employment related laws, guidelines and policies; research and recommend additions and changes to policies and procedures to address the college's needs and to comply with relevant changes in state and federal laws
  • Collaborate with other HR functions and faculty.

Physical Demands, Working Conditions and Physical Effort
Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met. Positions in this class typically require talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking and repetitive motions. Relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards. Office environment. Little physical effort required
 
Requirements
Master's degree in a related field from an accredited institution required.
Five (5) years of related experience
 
Preferred
Faculty or HR Administration experience in a higher education institution preferred.
Two (2) years of supervisory experience preferred.

Compensation is determined based on experience.
