The Global Key Account Manager is responsible for building and maintaining long-term, mutually beneficial business relationships with selected Global Key Accounts worldwide, encompassing all Miltenyi Biotec products, workflow solutions, and services. Reporting to the Vice President, Global Key Account Management, the successful candidate will work cross-functionally across all levels in all regions to jointly develop, communicate, and execute strategies that will drive sustainable business growth with assigned global key accounts. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a Miltenyi Biotec corporate-wide strategy to drive sustainable business growth with assigned global key accounts.
- Establish and cultivate enduring, value-driven, and trust-based relationships with senior leadership and key decision-makers at customer organizations, positioning Miltenyi Biotec as the preferred and trusted partner for Cell and Gene Therapies from drug research through to clinical development and commercialization.
- Interact effectively at Director, VP, and Executive levels to communicate compelling value propositions with demonstrable benefits.
- Develop, communicate, and execute actionable strategies in close collaboration with field sales and key enabling partnering functions and department across the Miltenyi Biotec organization to achieve identified global business growth objectives.
- Advocate for the customers within the organization.
- Play a pivotal role in enabling successful strategic collaborations by fostering open communication and driving alignment at all levels across corporate functions, including Sales, Service, Business Development, R&D, Marketing, Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Finance, and Legal.
- Own account mapping activities, leverage business insights & analytics to identify new business development opportunities, provide accurate sales forecasts in alignment with local sales.
- Act as an ambassador for the team by exemplifying excellence in key account management execution and collaborative working.
Requirements:
- Advanced degree (e.g., Master's, Ph.D.) in Biology, Chemistry, or a related scientific field. MBA preferred; Experience in the Life Science Industry with a deep understanding of the pharma and biotech markets. Specific experience in the Cell and Gene Therapies domain is highly desirable;10+ years in a commercial role with increasing levels of responsibility, including demonstrable leadership or direct management experience; or a combination of education and experience.
- Global key account management experience with a proven ability to sell and articulate impactful value propositions to senior management and executive levels.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
- Proven ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
- Ability to drive strategies to execution, with strong collaboration and project management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills; capable of influencing without authority; self-awareness and high emotional intelligence.
- Strategic and critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, balanced with vision and innovative thinking.
- Role is home office-based on the US West or East.
- Minimum 50% travel.

For candidates based in San Francisco Bay Area, CA, the anticipated total cash has been established at $273,800 - $370,400/year. For candidates based in Los Angeles, CA and San Diego, CA, the anticipated total cash has been established at $248,900 - $336,800/year. The total cash of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialization, skills, abilities, and training. The above total cash represents the Company's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. In addition to your salary, the Company offers a comprehensive benefits package including health, vision, and dental insurance, plus a 401(k) plan. All benefits are subject to eligibility requirements. Certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses or commissions.
